CCC is not horrible, but they do have 4 major flaws that keep people away from Christ.

    1. Most of the church members are unwelcoming.Since I'm a black girl, the church thought it would be good to point out that I was black. According to this church, being black is bad, evil, a sin. My father was an usher, he wanted to lend a helpful hand. Unfortunately,(even though my dad didn't care) ever time he collected donation, people (white people) would glare at him, look at him funny. They were intimidated by him. Why? Because they thrive off of stereotypes. Black people are agressive, they're loud, they're stupid, they're violent, etc. One person even told my brother and me that we're good black people, because we're not ghetto. ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE GOOD PEOPLE. Also, my step mom is white and married to my dad. When people see them together, they turn their heads and glare. What, they haven't seen an interracial couple before? One pastor is Hispanic, and he tells sermons every blue moon. Why? It's because he's Hispanic. Not to mention they segregate the church members. The Hispanics sat on the left side of the church, the blacks sat in the middle, and everyone else sat where they wanted to sit. I'm confused, what year is it? Is it 1950? No! Race shouldn't matter. Furthermore, they tried to change a gay man, when in reality, you can't control a homosexual. Instead of demoting him, they should've left him to decide.

    2. The church is sexist. The put many women on trial because they had sex outside of marriage. They don't think a woman should have any control over her body. They don't accept female pastors. They scold women for wearing "skimpy clothing". They once told a girl that her shorts are too short. They accused two, very close female friends for being lesbians, and the girls aren't even homosexuals. The main pastor even wrote a blog that I found uncomfortable:
"A few days ago I saw a news blurb that a female model is now working as a male model. She didn’t have a sex change operation; she has deliberately altered her appearance and is going for the androgynous look. Androgyny is the blurring of gender distinctions, an attempt to embody both male and female. This is sad.
These developments in the culture are sad because in the beginning, “God created man in his own image . . . male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27) and “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good” (Genesis 1:33). God’s idea of complementary masculinity and femininity, maleness and femaleness, is good, and we undo it to our own loss." (Ken Langley November 14 2013)

Androgyny is a type of art. And a woman can choose who she wants to be. Women are more than slaves to their partners, slaves to their kids, and baby factories. Women are humans beings too. They also treated my step mom badly. She didn't like the fact that they fired a woman from teaching English as a second language, because she had a child out of wedlock. She wrote the pastors a polite letter about this foolishness. And guess what? They demoted my step mom, because she's a woman.

    3. They stick their noses into other people's sex lives. Someone asked me if I got pregnant, would I get an abortion? I told the person that if I ever got an abortion, they wouldn't know. Asking a question like that is like asking me about my sex life. What the hell? When women have children out of wedlock, they are forced to tell the church about their sex lives and ask for forgiveness. I don't care if you had a child out of wedlock, that's none of my business. The church members should worry about their own sex lives.

    4. The church is closed minded. There a difference between not following society and hating society. The church shunned anything new, and the church has been doing this since time began. In order to get more followers of Christ, they need to adapt to this new society.

These 4 flaws are easy to fix. But, they aren't touched upon at all. If you are non-white, female, homosexual, transgender, have an open mind, and have common sense, then this church isn't for you.
